Vision
The UT Southwestern Advancing Implementation & Improvement Science Program envisions a future where evidence-based practices and continuous quality improvement are seamlessly integrated into healthcare systems, leading to optimal health outcomes and health equity for the people of North Texas and beyond.
Mission
Our mission is to foster collaborative partnerships between UT Southwestern, affiliated health systems, and community partners to advance the science and practice of implementation and improvement. By conducting rigorous, data-driven research and providing education and training opportunities, we aim to develop innovative strategies that enhance the adoption, sustainability, and scalability of evidence-based interventions, ultimately improving the health and healthcare of the diverse communities we serve.
Through our research, education, and outreach activities, we aim to:
- Identify and prioritize evidence-based practices and interventions that hold the greatest promise for improving health outcomes
- Develop and test implementation strategies that are tailored to the unique needs and contexts of our partner organizations and communities
- Build capacity for implementation and improvement science through training programs, workshops, and mentorship opportunities
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement within healthcare systems and community settings
- Disseminate our findings and best practices to inform policy, practice, and future research in implementation and improvement science
- Identify funding opportunities and methodological consultations for internal stakeholders interested in Implementation & Improvement Science
